It really is a case of saying that the internet did not kill radio!
According to the Bareme Radio study of Marktest 2017, one in six Portuguese listened to Internet radio in the first six months of the year.
Young people aged 25 to 34 are the ones with the greatest affinity with this habit, common to 30.8% of this age group.
The social classes also present relatively heterogeneous behavior, with values gradually lowering according to the social class:
– a maximum of 27.8% among upper-class individuals
– a minimum of 4.9% among low class individuals
Among the genders, this habit is more balanced (17.8% among men and 15.6% among women). The regions also show values similiar to one another, however the residents of the Central Coast show the highest rate of online radio listening (20.1%).
